Trading the QQQQ’s for a dime plus the spread

September 23rd, 2009 Don Folkerth Comments off

We have been working on trading the QQQQ's for a dime plus the spread as a way for even small accounts to make progress in this choppy market.  We are using the 5 minute light on the wizetrade charts plus RSI on the option price charts.  The last two days in a row we have been successful in doing just that.  Listen to my show on channel 4 from 8:30 to 10 am CST for more information.

Will RIMM Earnings Announcement have the Volatility???

September 23rd, 2009 Diane Sullivan Comments off

Earnings season has not kicked off with AA but RIMM will announce earnings 9.24.09 after market. Here is the question: "With low volatility in the market this week can RIMM provide the volaility needed to have a successful trade?". We will certainly find out over the next few weeks. Paper trade along with me using a Straddle/Strangle today and wait for the announcement. We are entering this volatility play and will be watching for a large percentage movement out of RIMM after the announcement. Do you want to learn how to use options in your trading?
